Error message trying to install Win7Pro using USB

I just put together my new PC. I want to install Win7Pro using a USB drive with an ISO. I got the ISO from Microsoft. I used Rufus to put the ISO on the USB drive. I put the drive in, the install boots up but then says device drivers are missing.

Anyone know how to fix this?

If youre using a usb 3 port it needs drivers. Win7 doesnt support it when you install Win7

So either use a USB 2 port or change the USB option in the BIOS to auto

I did switch to the two USB 2 ports and that didn't work.

You did use rufus right to extract whats in the ISO? You dont copy the ISO to the flash drive its not bootable

Yup, used Rufus. I have done everything I have found online. I used Rufus, I switched to all my USB slots, I restarted, I canceled and switched. Nothing is working right now.

I can't find anything in the Gigabyte BIOS regarding USB either.

Why Rufus? Microsoft has an official tool:

I tried that originally but it didn't work. That is why I used Rufus.

I was able to get it to work. I had to download a USB tool. Running it put a few files onto the USB drive with the ISO. Something about Win7 not recognizing the Z170 USB drivers.
