Error on bootup?

Hi guys, I recently installed windows XP on a fresh hard drive in a computer that had been running Vista. After removing the windows XP hard drive from that computer, whenever I try to boot up Vista on the hard drive that was in the computer, it tells me this error message:
"<Windows Root>\system32\hal.dll is missing."
Any ideas on how to fix it?

I saw that, but it looks like it's a fix for windows XP.

By removing the XP drive you have made it unbootable as the startup files are on the XP drive.
To repair your instalation read here: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html
Read carefully, and make sure you backup anything you don't want to loose.
