Error on inpage

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me. I have a Dell desktop and I am trying to load Micorosoft office on it from a disk. I am getting that "Error on inpage" message. What on God's green earth does that mean? Is it a problem with my computer or the disc? And no, I'm not very tech savvy.
