See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

So I get this when I open up this simple portable program from windows7club.com called Ultimate Windows Tweaker. Its one of those programs that lets you do things like Enable Large System Cache, Disable HDD Compression, or low disk checks, etc....and change your UAC, network tweaks etc...No Idea were this came from never had the error before it just started showing up a couple months ago. I have not made any major changes to my computer, BTW its running Windows 7 64 Pro , if you want to know version. Thanks in advance for any help with this, got to love the Tom's Community

The error says at the top of the box "Microsoft .NET Framework
unhandled exception has occurred in your application. etc...
and at the bottom
Invalid Class .

Here are the details./.....

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

First I would run all Windows Update, including optional (except bing) to make sure everything is up to date. Second it seems your .NET framework has issues or the program itself does. As this has been happening for months, we can't System Retore to before this happened so now you need to work on the 'belly' of Windows to resolve. I will warn you it is daunting and alot of potential problems / solutions you will come across. If you want the dirty quick answer, get a external drive, run Windows Easy Transfer and backup your data, then wipe the drive with DBAN, reinstall Windows (since you were messing with Windows innards and something got corrupted in Windows but we can't "see" what it is, just general 'we have a problem Huston'), run all patches as I suggest. Then run Slim Drivers for the latest drivers. Install Avast! or AVG from www.filehippo.com, and only install Ultimate Windows Tweaker. Now see if you still have a problem with a clean install, if not then go ahead and reinstall the rest of your apps, keep checking that installing other software doesn't conflict with UWT, then finally restore with Windows Easy Transfer your data and settings.
