Error opening installation log file

I recently had my motherboard replaced. After that whenever i try to install any .exe file it shows the following message:
(.\Bootstrapper.cpp:916) 0x656: Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

All the programs that were previously installed work fine. Problem arises only when installing new applictions.
