Where exactly does Microsoft send it's error reports. I
came across one on booting up, but not since then.

When you transmit an error, it goes to Online Crash Analysis
(http://oca.microsoft.com). It is also recorded in Event Viewer where
double clicking on the error will reveal a link that will show you more
related info (if available) on the error.
