Error trying to upgrade win 7 to 10

Hi, I'm upgrading my dell 7010 from win 7 pro to 10.

I did all the updates and went thru the process of downloading the win media creation tool but I get;

Media Creation Tool Error 0X80072F8F – 0X20000

I looked online and did just about all the steps and still get the code?
any ideas?

you can download the iso from another computer using the media creation tool and then copy it to your pc to run it. i've had to do that in the past myself.

you simply run the setup.exe file and it'll do the upgrade in place without having to boot to a usb/dvd.

that error means that it cant connect to windows servers, your windows 7 does not have TLS 1.1 or better, but still uses old TLS 1.0

here you can get update for win7 TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 alongside with needed registry changes, then windows media creation tool would work
