Error when trying Fresh install of windows on new build

windows cannot open the required file d sources install.wim windows 7

I get this when I try to install windows
The installation wizard starts and I enter language/keyboard etc
I click install windows and then it says setting up and it gives error code: 0x80070017


Any help would be much appreciated
pretty sure it isn't a problem with the disk or optical drive

Using a brand new out of the packaging Windows 7 64-Bit OEM

I know, but it sometimes happens with microsoft (glitch). But just give it a try, if you have a dual layer recordable DVD. Otherwise you could try a different optical drive.

So stressed over this
also I don't have a USB big enough to install windows that way
or any disks to burn windows onto

I did not, do you think that could be it?

Actually, it was enabled this whole time. So that isn't the solution.

It appears to be defective media, or a drive that cannot read that particular disk.
