I am just mad. I am so angry right now I think I'll just go and buy 8.1 Pro.

I spent my days trying to get the "Get Windows 10" Notification

It finally popped up today. I downloaded Windows 10, my pc reboots to the installer.

While at %0. Pc reboots to Windows 7.

Greets me with an error message (80070002x2009) and I am so pissed.

Also, I tried to reinstall but windows update tries to download it again, while i see the 2.5 GIG win10 file in the folder where the updates are saved.

I think this maybe because of an error I get everytime my pc boots.

It says a Boot BCD error or something like that but I can just hit enter and windows starts fine.

Even tough we find a solution somehow I do not want to download Windows 10 again.

Solution
My Niece had to download Windows 10 three times to get it through. But for her the installer got to 85%, failed and rebooted into Windows 7. The 3rd try was a charm though and she now is running on 10.

I really don't want to download it again. I have it in my folder man.
My Internet Plan has a cap I dont want to go over it just for an os can't install properly.

(also ticked your post as the solution accidentally)

That's the down side to how MS is doing this, they didn't really take people with caps into account of they didn't think there were enough for them to care. I don't know if there is something corrupt in the download or if there was some other problem. But for some reason the installer re-downloads the files each attempt. Would have been better if they had put a file verification tool in the install process and if clean have it just use the verified download.

You could try to reach MS and see if they have a way to use what you have already downloaded.
