Error: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style.

Heeeelp Please:
This problem is driving me crazy & all of the info I've read is not that very clear.

My PC died so I had to buy/build a new PC, (NPC) using a later version mobo, CPU, etc.

I installed my original HDD from my old PC (OPC), and the (NPC) booted from this OK.

The HDD from (OPC) has W10 installed in one large GPT partition.

In my (NPC):
I wanted to be able to Dual-Boot by adding W7.
So I opened the 'Disk Management' window, and used its 'Shrink Volume'
(to divide the Primary partition between W10 & W7)
So my HDD now has 3 (W10) partitions, + Un-allocated space, eg:

Recovery (OEM) partition | EFI System partition | C: Primary partition | Un-allocated

Next I booted from W7 DVD:
I select the Custom install.
And at the screen: Where do you want to install windows?
I select: Drive 0 Un-allocated Space

...and a message at the bottom says:
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style.

So this is stating the obvious, eg: my HDD has a GPT partition.

So why wont W7 install?
And what do I need to do to solve this?
Many thanks.

Win7 by default will install on MBR.

One way to go about it is install Win7 first by changing the disk to MBR and then install Win10.

The other way is to create a Win7 USB boot stick with UEFI support.
