I have had lately problems with games, they just crash to desktop with no error message.sometimes(rarely) i get BSOD with the crash.
decided to run memtest86 3 times and the results are:
the first time had 1 error in test 8.
second time no errors at all.
third time 8 errors in test 8.
I am not overclocking anything.
nothing crashes when i am not gaming.

2 questions:
can those errors lead to games crashing to desktop?
does it necessarily mean I have hardware problems with my ram and should replace it?

Solution
Memory problems are often caused by buying the wrong memory for your system.

A good rule of thumb is if you did not buy the wrong memory or wrong combination of memory that any errors in MemTest86 means the memory is defective and you can have if replaced under warranty for free.
