I am having a weird problem with Win 98 SE. I can't add a new contact to address book. I can enter the information, but when I click ok it just freezes. Then I have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out of it. If I go back in everything is fine but the new entry isn't there. Does anybody know how to fix this? I tried reinstalling Windows allready.
I also get runtime errors while browsing the internet. It doesn't seem to cause a problem but it keeps asking if I want to debug.

Ok, the runtime errors whilst surfing are caused by errors in the code on the web page you are viewing- not your fault but the webmasters so dont worry.
As for the address book thing, you dont say what you are using for mail, if outlook express (which I guess you are) try either reinstalling it (control panel/windows setup) or download a later version, I'd go for the 2nd option.

Did you reinstalled your computer lately? I had a problem similar to yours. I backed up all my files on a cd and when I tried Outlook, it was always locking up. The thing is that Outlook dont seem to like read-only files. When copying on a CD, it puts all the files the read-only attribute.

Not sure for your problem but it might be this.

Try updating to the latest version of outlook and int exp see if that helps.

If it ain't broke don't fix it
