Ethernet adapter not detecting Ethernet cable

So one my internet randomly went out on my PC and the network icon at the task bar has a red x on it, when I trouble shoot it says to plug in a Ethernet cable which is already plugged in.

Things I have tried:

Uninstalling the network adapter and restarting my computer.

Disabling power save management on the network adapter.

Reset my PC.

Hi,

Please do try to change the Ethernet cable as well and see if that solve the problem. If you don't have an available Ethernet cable switch the ends that goes to the PC and the router. And lastly, if all these will not work the problem may lie with the Ethernet port itself. You can get an Ethernet card from any local PC shop.
