Hi, I have a new PC and laptop. I decided to connect my PC to the internet through ethernet. My internet is normally really good but after connecting it to ethernet it became much much worse. Now my internet on my PC isn't as good as it should be and my wifi on my laptop sucks. When I disconnect my PC from ethernet my wifi on my laptop gets better.

Well my wifi on my laptop is VERY good when there is no ethernet connect to my PC.

Well my laptop on its own has a download speed of 9.49Mbps and an upload speed of 0.74Mbps. My internet with my PC connected through ethernet was so bad it was impossible to do any other tests. I am so confused!!

The purpose of doing each on speedtest.net in the 3 combinations is to determine a baseline score (the ones with only that device connected) and a combined score (both of them connected) to see the difference. 99% of the routers out there should be able to connect multiple devices without any issues. I have a standard cable modem from Time Warner Cable - I have 6 computers, 2 TiVo devices, 2 phones and a tablet - and I can have them all connected without issues.
