[SOLVED] Ethernet cable extenders

Is there a downside to using something like this https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Ethernet-Extension-Shielded-Connector/dp/B00QV0K2HO ??

I dont really wanna buy a "longer" cable cus that would mean redoing the cable run throughout my whole room.

So just wondering if i'll see any speed loss from using an extender like this.

The only thing it might impact it the total length the cable can run. Anything that add resistance cut the distance. Unless you are near the 100 meter limit it like makes no difference.

It like will be cheaper to just buy a RJ45 coupler and use normal ethernet cables. Problem is buying just 1 on amazon. I have seen them sold 2 for $1 at the the dollar store.

I've never used that type of extender, but I do use the RJ45 Coupler a bit down in your link. They worked perfectly with 25 Mbps ADSL and now also with 100 Mbps fiber since 3 years. Given the price, I would have no problem trying the extender.
