My connection will disconnect when playing these games: Battlefield 1, Player Unknown Battlegrounds, H1Z1 King Of The Kill.

The connection from the router will completely go for a short period of time then will connect but will disconnect again almost certainly unless I reconnect the Ethernet cable that's in my computer. The internet will not disconnect from anything wireless, only my computer.

It's hard to find the problem as it's not consistent, this will happen only once in a game session, when I reconnect the Ethernet cable it will never happen again. This will never happen when I'm browsing the internet or just on the computer.

Specs:
i7 6700k
Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb
Gigabyte Z170 K3 Gaming
Seagate 1TB HDD
Virgin Media Hub 3
Virgin Media Vivid 200 Gamer Package (200 down, 20 up)
Ethernet Cat 6a 20m

Yes, I always make sure they're updated as it's easy to do and I've reinstalled several times, I use Killer Control Center

Killer chipset has all kinds of strange issues with their drivers. It is so bad they have a version of the drivers with all the killer features removed.

I would try that driver image and see if it is more stable.

The whole concept of network acceleration is mostly marking hype. You can not mange other machines traffic on your network only your own. Most problems with needing to prioritize traffic are outside your machine so your machine can do nothing. The only thing is can help is if you do stupid stuff it can try to still make thing work. Pretty much if you run torrent on the same machine it will favor the game traffic. It is much easier to just not do stupid things and expect some magic software to save you.

Thank you for the detailed answer. Ever since getting a new system and having to download the Killer drivers for my new motherboard I wasn't too impressed with it. I've seen some bad reviews of it but how you put it it seems a waste of time.

I'll let you know if it occurs again, thanks.
