Question ethernet cable recieving less mbps then wifi

On my pc, I usually recieve 120 down and 10 up using wireless and I tried using a ethernet cable today and it is 10 up and 10 down? what is the problem here?

That's going to be a complete stab in the dark without knowing any details of your system! Full specs please.

The cable is the first suspect. If you have a flat ethernet cable or have wall plates in the path, those are the first places to look. It is possible your network adapter is set to 10Mbit rather than autonegotiation.
