Ethernet Cable saying it is not connected

I was recently going on my computer and the Ethernet stopped working. I had done nothing and it was fine 24 hours earlier. The cord works with other computers. I have tried many solutions such as going to speed and duplex but that doesn’t even show up for me. Please help!!!

Try switching out the ethernet cable. It isn't uncommon that the connector on the end an become loose or something on the cable or on female connector that obstructs the connector just enough for it to loose connection.

When I replaced my HDTV with a 4K UHD TV, I plugged the same ethernet cable into the new TV. It wouldn't connect. I had another new cable and it connected fine. But that same cable works in other ethernet connectors.

If the connector is on the PC, then you can install a PCI or PCIE network (NIC) card.
