I recently bought D-Link DSL-2750U Wireless N 300 ADSL2+ 4-Port Wi-Fi Router with Modem which accepts a DSL connection. But my internet service provider uses an ethernet cable to provide internet. How to use my modem as an access point. Please help.

To use as an access point: Disable DHCP, set up static IP address from your main router' LAN address space, set gateway address to be your main router. Set up WiFi as necessary. But you need to have another router to plug into your ISP' cable

If you can, you better return that combo unit, and get wireless router only.

Thanks for your reply. After so many research I just found an answer. I just updated the firmware of my router and it provided me the options to accept ethernet or DSL. So no need to change the router as well. Saves money.

Works fine as well.
