Hi guys Yesterday my desktop was hooked up with an ethernet cable to the router which is seperate from the modem and had internet working great and it had been for weeks previously. while i was at work my roomate shut down the router until i got home. when i turned it on its unable to identify. ive gone through so many steps on different websites and even on this website. just desperate for a little help thank you!!

Hey mjfstyle,

- Have you checked to see if your PC is set to auto obtain an IP address?
- Factory reset your router and set it back up dynamic IP, see if that works (if not, you may need to call your ISP to find out your PPPoE credentials)
- Try a different PC with an ethernet cable to your router to make sure its not a PC issue, if it works with another PC, reply to the post and I will give you more info

:)
