Question ethernet connected but no internet

it was working a couple weeks ago, but it recently stopped working. the ethernet is plugged in, but there is no internet connection. when i use wifi on the same network, it works fine. ive tried a lot of things, but nothing has helped.

What motherboard ?
Open a cmd.exe window and type ipconfig.exe /all -- post the results.

Since your screen capture says "Media disconnected" that is usually a cable problem.
Do you have in-wall cable between your PC and the router?
Try moving your PC near the router and using a short brand-new cable.

my router is in the basement (i’m on the second floor). i am using a range extender, and having a wired connection through the extender.
