Hey there awesome IT helpers!
I work in IT-support for a Company, and we have an Ethernet Connection set up in Our Storage room. The Ethernet Connection works totally fine on a computer we've set up there. But when trying to plug the cable into another Laptop, it's not working at all!
The green and yellow lights in the Ethernet port, is turning on and off.
First, it's dark(no lights), then it tries to Connect and the lights come on, then 1 - 2 Seconds later they go dark again, and so it continues into eternity!!
When checking the network Connections on the Laptop, the cabled Connection is showing for 1 - 2 Seconds, and it says Limited. The network Connection then goes away, and keep reappearing like the Ethernet port lights are doing. Showing the Connection for 1 - 2 Seconds.
It seems like it's trying in a way to Connect to the network, but it only gives it a second to before the attempt is stopped, and retried! It's just looping on the same step..
I'm totally in the dark here, don't have any Clue!
Note: Don't get me wrong, it's not stuck on identifying! It tries to identify for 1 sec, and the cable works fine on another Laptop. The Laptop who's having this issue, does not have any problems getting Connected through another cable!
