Ethernet connection or just go with wireless?

I'm creating a PC build currently and I can't decide whether to go for Ethernet or just Wireless. Here are the factors, 3 of my family members use WiFi, whether it be on their phone, or consoles. I wanted to run an Ethernet cable from the router in the living room, to the PC itself, but I wasn't sure if this would hinder the WiFi and have slower speeds? For some reason I feel like maybe the Ethernet cable would get priority and get sent Internet Access first, and would hinder WiFi speeds... That may seem stupid to you professionals so feel free to flame me below. I don't want my family to get mad for having slower speeds, but I'd also like to have stable connection and faster speeds than what I get on WiFi, because lets be honest, Ethernet is obviously faster and more stable than WiFi. From what I've learned cable management wise, I should be able to run the cable so it won't look bad going to my room. If there's anyway I can have access to Ethernet but still have my family be happy with WiFi speeds, please let me know.

Solution
Using ethernet won't affect their WiFi.
You'll all still be sharing the same overall connection, but your ethernet does not affect their WiFi.

Awesome thank you, was just a thought I encountered, it's good to know they won't be hindered by me trying to run Ethernet!

It's actually better for them, because you're not adding more competition to the WiFi airspace.

Oh wow that's even better, always great to learn something new, thank you for the input!
