Question Ethernet Connectivity problems

So recently my wireless network card died forcing me to use an ethernet connection. The problem im facing now is the ethernet is connected whilst the pc is off and during startup, but disconnects Every once and a while I can get the connection to stay but have no consistent way to do so. I've tried every form of troubleshooting I know to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

Have you tried another known working ethernet cable between pc and router?

Did you disable the failed wireless network card on the pc?

Are you now using the motherboard's built in network adapter, a USB-Ethernet adapter, or perhaps a PCIe network adapter? Did you update the drivers?

Look in Reliability History - any error codes or warnings that occur just before or at the time connectivity is lost? Event Viewer may likewise be capturing some error - just not as user friendly.
