Hello, can anyone help me to find the right drivers for this? My hard-drive crashed, and I bought it refurbished, so I never got a Windows disc. I got a hard-drive from a friend, and I am trying to use it with my laptop, but it is missing the Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, and the PCI Controller drivers. I have searched all around, and I can not talk to Acer, for my warranty is past. They just want to repair it. This link is the page in which I acquired my laptop, if you need any further specs or information, please, do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your time,

If you just need drivers go to Acer ( http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers ) and look under the Notebooks/Aspire for 7741Z it has all the 64 bit and 32 bit drivers.

If your laptop still has its Windows 7 activation key sticker, I would consider doing a full installation with a trial disk of Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit from Digital River and then activating with your key ( http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/ ).

See, I tried to go there for the drivers, but the only drivers they have, are the ones that don't come default with installation.

Yes, I still have the activation key sticker, that was actually another thought I had, to go and get Windows 7, and use my key. Well, I will try downloading the ISO for it, and hopefully this works.

Thanks a bunch, RealBeast.

Did you have any luck with this in getting the drivers? I have the same problem except my laptop is an aspire 5551. I appreciate any insight to this. Thanks. I guess it should be known that I am refering to the install of windows 7 from a disc and using my key also. If I get the 7 home premium then the key for pro should still work right? I heard it all depends on the key since the instal will install whatever the key says since it is all included in the disc anyway. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Honestly, no. Not that I am aware of. If you have a key for home premium, then it will only work for home premium. The keys are limited to the type of Windows it is, I do believe.

What I had to do to fix my laptop was, to buy a wireless USB adapter, and then let the computer find it's own drivers, with the help of it having the internet. It is kind of like working in circles, but in the end it solved the issue, and I could remove the wireless adapter.
