Ethernet crashes my whole internet after roughly a minute of downloading anything.

I recently tried to reinstall windows on another SSD but when I connected my ethernet cable it crashed after a few minutes. This didn't happen before I tried to reinstall it on another hard drive so I restored a backup I made onto the hard drive I am using at the moment. WiFi seems to work fine but ethernet causes the internet on my computer to crash and it is only fixed if I restart my computer. If it helps, there is an LED on the ethernet port on the computer that is green but when it crashes, it turns orange. The LED on the router ethernet port remains green the whole time. when the ethernet crashes, the WiFi no longer works as well and only works once I restart. It also seems to crash my whole internet as well so my phone and laptop dont work for a while. I have tried opening command prompt and typing "ping -t 127.0.0.1" as another user suggested but It came back with no errors.
All of this may have started happening since I updated my BIOS but for some reason it didn't update it to the latest version, so I manually updated it to the latest version and the same issue still happens.
I am using the Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H.

If you are certain the ethernet is the case things are pretty simple

1) Use a different ethernet cable because sometimes they get damaged with results even of blue screen
2) use a different ethernet cable on a different router/switch port

otherwise, i would
1) download something like driver identifier, run it, see if there is a more recent driver for the network adapter and install that.
2) uninstall the network controller from device manager or update the driver to the newer one.

if this doesnt help either (different cable, different router port, new drivers) then i would make sure from device manager /network card properties to change the auto-negotiation ofthe ethernet to 100mbps full/duplex. and see if this fixes things.

if this fails too
i would find a cheapass pci lan card, install it and use the ethernet from there. Perhaps a friend of yours has , ask first, install it (they never need drivers those ones) and see what happens

How a bios updates automatically and you manually update? all bios update manually, i am just curious

It seems you are trying to do too many things at the same time.
