Ethernet does not work after mobo switch

Recently i upgraded my PC, and after doing so and upgrading to windows 10, my Ethernet does not seem to function at all. It does not show any networks.

I have tried using my mobo's driver disc, to no avail.
I have tried to download the driver off of MSI's website, also to no effect.
I have tried downloading drivers off of Intel's site, which only seems to give me more options in the properties settings, but no actual internet access through the Ethernet.
I have flashed my BIOS to the newest version.
I have the LAN controller activated/enabled in the BIOS settings.
I have tried to activate/deactivate the LAN controller several times.
I have tried using the windows device manager to update the drivers, nothing so far. It only tells me that "the best drivers" are already being used.

The Ethernet cable in question was in working condition before the mobo swap.
In the BIOS board explorer, it shows that something is connected, however, like mentioned above, no connection is available.
The Ethernet port has its LED's flashing, so at least something seems to work.
I have tried updating windows, still not fixed.

I only get one error when I look at the trouble shooter:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Any suggestions would be helpful, I'm tired of trying to get this to work with no solution in sight.

Specs:
Mobo: MSI B360 Gaming Plus
CPU: i7-8700k
GPU: EVGA Gtx 1060 3 GB
RAM:G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
OS: Win 10 x64

Reset the CMOS/BIOS by jumper

The motherboard is installed in a case with the correct spacers and screws in place?

Boot with Ubunut live to check the ethernet connection there. If it works, it´s a windows issue, if not, the motherboard is faulty.

Did you freshly install windows with the new system?

Old setup was:
Mobo: MSI - H97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

After booting for first time, my keyboard and mouse didn't work after BIOS, and discovered that the drivers on the MSI
site were seemingly only availible for win 10 x64, so I wiped my two HDD's and installed win 10, it was win 7.
The Ethernet on the old board worked without any problems.

CMOS reset didn't seemingly do anything, will try ubuntu and report back.

I tried Ubuntu, and I couldn't figure out how to connect my wireless adapter, let alone my LAN connection..... I have never used it, or Linux before, so any help on that would be appreciated.

As for the drivers, I installed them in the order you described, and no dice.

Motherboard mounting should be good, I demounted and remounted just to make sure.
I have also tried to contact Intel's forum for support, since its their driver, but I'm starting to think that its the mobo itself...

Any ideas what might have caused this, so maybe somehow I can try and prevent it in the future? I understand it might just have been a bad board, but idk if there is something that somehow did/could have done that would kill just the LAN port.

LAN/Ethernet is not working, I'm currently using a wireless antenna, which is working, but slower than an Ethernet connection.
As for working out of the box, I would've thought so, but definitely not the case.

Edit: tried connection to google.de, and when the antenna is unplugged it doesn't work.

That particular device is what I think the issue is around.

Damn, you think so?
Well, I am at the very least going to contact MSI customer support, maybe they have some kind of solution...

Edit: well, thanks anyway, got further than my google searches.

Yup, bought one off of amazon, and what do you know, plugged it in, and it works.
The only thing that MSI has told me to do at this point is to try and install the drivers from their site..... which I have already tried twice before...

I know, but this is the only mobo that I have that is compatible for my CPU, and I'm guessing it will take weeks to send it to them, have them look at it, and send it back.
