Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration on a direct connection.

My router broke and i have to use direct connection on my computer.Can someone tell me how to change the connection from wi-fi to direct?

All you should have to do is plug it in, but that's only with a working router.
You need a router, you can't just use a modem.
