Hi. I'm having a problem with my internet connection. When I put in my new network card and connected it with Ethernet cable to modem, it showed that I am connected to unidentified network and troubleshooter says that Ethernet doesn't have valid ip configuration. I have tried many yt videos and guides with all that netsh stuff but nothing works. I have also rebooted pc, modem, router, reinstalled drivers more than 3 times and I don't know what else to do to fix this issue. Please help.

So if you connect either your desktop or your laptop to the modem with a wired connection, and disconnect the canyon router, neither one works? That's bizarre, that makes it look like there's something wrong with your modem, but I don't know how the wireless connections on your router would still be working then. So your canyon router is connected to the thompson modem via a LAN connection on the modem and the WAN connection on the router right?
My modem has 3 ports and it is Thomson speedtouch st 546 v6. My network card is D-Link DGE-528T gigabit Ethernet Adapter. Router is Canyon 150mps wireless n router model nr: CNP-WF514N1A

So your modem is is actually a combo modem+router. I think have back to back routers like that can cause issues sometimes, you can try putting it into bridge mode with disables the router functionality. You can try googling for how to do this, or if the Speedtouch is provided by your ISP you might try asking them for instructions.

Edit: Are you able to get an internet connection with any other devices on your network? If so, wired or wireless? If not, try connect your PC directly to the speedtouch, and disconnect the Canyon router.

Yeah, I my laptop and phones can catch the signal (wireless). I think I should also put background of all this.
One day here was a lightning and it struck really close to my house. So close, that I saw blue flash of light coming out from my modem and/or router. My old network card was fried and my Modems port was fried either, so I replaced Ethernet cable and plugged it in different modem port.

If you run ipconfig from the command prompt on your desktop, what does it say?

Try manually setting an IP on your desktop. On your laptop, open up a command prompt and enter "ipconfig". On your desktop, go to network adaptors, open up properties for your ethernet adaptor, go to ipv4 settings. Enter the same numbers you got from your laptop into the associated fields for you desktop, but for the ip address field change the number after the last "." to something else. For example, if your laptop IP was 192.168.1.3, set your desktop to 192.168.1.10 or something. See if you can ping your laptop from your desktop or vice versa.

Have you tried connecting your PC to different LAN ports on the Canyon router? Also, maybe try connecting your PC to a LAN port on your Thompson modem/router. Do you have any other wired device that you can try connecting to your router(s) to see if it gets a valid connection?

Make sure you remove the static IP you set on your PC ethernet adapter and set it back to getting an IP address automatically.
