A blackout happened about a month ago in my area, when I turned my computer on, it failed to recognize Ethernet. I tested the cables and port and they work just fine. I go into device manager and attempted to update drivers to no avail. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the cable in network adapters but my PC crashed and it was still there. I tried about five more times, with all attempts ending in my computer restarting without progress. The Ethernet port has a green light that's on, even though it's not working. Please help!

Solution
can you download the driver on another computer, put it on a flash drive and install it from the flash? some times the driver gets a bit messed up and just uninstall/reinstall might not work, try to find a current driver/ updated.
