Randomly a few days ago, I turned on my computer to see that my default internet connection was on WiFi when I have an ethernet cable plugged in. The computer has been working flawlessly since I restored the system last July 2014. (Originally built the system in Jan 2014).
Checked all connections and device manager to see that I had a code 10 on my ethernet device. Did some research online which prompted me to reinstall the driver. Upon doing this, the ethernet connection goes back up (speed test also shows that I get my normal download speed) and everything is fine. However, after shutting down and/or restarting, the code 10 comes back and my computer defaults to WiFi. I can redo the steps I said above and it will work again but reverts back to code 10 after restart. Can someone help me with this? I appreciate any advice.
My specs
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4 GHz
Memory: G.Skill 16GB
