[SOLVED] Ethernet driver controller missing and doesn't install

Hello,
Network adaptor / Realtek PCIe GbE family controller was found missing in the Control panel > Network connections, after installing windows on a new build.
Installed Realtek ethernet controller driver, and it didn't work.
In device manager > network adapters > other devices > ethernet controller - selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer >

Realtek PCIe GBE family controller
Tried to install these controllers, but every time the windows freezes.

Is ethernet driver controller windows property or mainboard property?

How can I resolve this issue?

Go to your motherboard web site and get the driver from there and install that.

The network adapter got installed, but got msg saying some sort of driver didn't. Idk which one... cannot verify yet as ISP doesn't allow more than one PC in a single connection. Getting a router, and can verify afterwards. Will let you know.
