Ethernet drops in Win7 after little while

So, today I got ethernet cable (I have PC with wifi reciever, not a notebook) and connection drops after around a minute or less. Why is this happening?
I have Win7, and there is constant red light and blinking yellow light

Are you talking about your modem or router? What's the model of both.
