Ethernet from satellite

I live where the only Internet service I get is by satellite and so they wired the satellite into the loving room and not where the main connections box or whatever it's called is, I was wondering if I could somehow plug the ethernet cable into the existing ethernet jacks which are cat5e and run it back to the control box and then run it to my room. It would be very difficult to run a long cable into my room because it is far away from where the cable runs into the house. I was going to buy a switch or something to put in the control box so that it could be run into my room because for some odd reason there is no power to the existing switches rendering them useless. If anyone can help me with this it would be much appreciated.

are the network cables in the box treminated to something like this?

No there are just two switches in there with no power to them which is why I was going to buy a new one.
