Hello guys not sure if this is the right place for this but after searching several topics and using google and also finding no fixes that worked for me on the issues already resolved i decided to ask for help.

I just got a u-verse modem and tried to connect to the internet on my PC using an ethernet cord via socket (plug adapter into wall and modem, other adapter to pc) and on my networks it just says Unidentified Network, No Internet Access. Troubleshooting doesn't resolve the issue or tell me how, it just says "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP address" i already looked on alot of the other topics that were similar and nothing has worked for me i am desperate at this point, i can connect fine via wifi and i have another Desktop in the living room connected directly to the modem via ethernet cable and it works fine. Don't know what information i need to give but let me know and i will provide it. thanks in advance

Are these adapters powerline network adapters? Can you provide make and model? Have these adapters worked previously (before Uverse install)? Have you checked with the adapters plugged into adjacent outlets (same room or very near to each other)?

If these aren't powerline adapters, please provide specific information as to exactly how your devices are connected to the wall outlets.
