[SOLVED] Ethernet issues

So, when my PC is powered off the Ethernet port begins to flash indicating that a cable is plugged in. Whenever I power on my PC the port stops flashing and my PC states that there is no cable plugged in. I have tried updating my drivers etc to no avail. I’ve also tried taking out the power cable for 30 minutes and putting it back in. I’ve tried to disable the connection and re enable it too. Nothing’s seems to be working.

My first guess is that you have the speed manually set to 1gb rather than to auto. It is not able to work at 1gb so there is no connectivity.
