Hello,
So yesterday I built a new computer and when installing windows I ha no internet connection which did not bother me. When it was installed, I still had no internet connection. So I tried everything but what I could see in the windows network center:
No Connection and Unidentified Network switching permanently.
So after struggling 2 hours I installed the Realtek Ethernet Driver which I downloaded with my phone on the computer. And suddenly it worked.
I downloaded and installed Chrome, also downloaded GeForce Experience.
Restarted the PC, and regretted it.
After the restart the connection was broken again. This time a permanent red cross in the system tray on the network center with sometimes for half a second a yellow ! symbol. I tried reinstalling the driver, installing an older version, always restarting in between. Nothing works. In the Adapter Overview there is the message "Network cable unplugged" which disappears shortly when the system tray switches to the yellow !.
This night i plugged the cable from the PSU so I would have a clean reset this morning still not working.
A pc I built in December for a friend has the "asus b350 plus" mainboard which has the same Ethernet Adapter as the built one yesterday (msi z370-a pro; both have the RTL8111H). The Computer from December never had problems with Internet and still works (although obviously in a different network). It even worked without drivers.
I really have no clue what it could be now. The weirdest thing to me really is that it worked before I restarted the computer.
Thanks for any help!
Here are the components:
MSI Z370-A Pro
i5 8400 BOX
GTX 1060 Ex OC from KFA2
8GB 2400 Crucial
Windows 10 on SSD
1TB HDD
Fritzbox 7362
Pinging Fritzbox fails btw so pinging internet also fails obviously.
