As said in the title. my ethernet is not finding a network. It suddenly happened about 20 minutes ago, even when I've been on the PC all day. Have looked through all the forum threads but no help there. Just looking for a fix really. Thanks!

Your Ethernet adapter Ethernet (The port where the network cable plugs into your computer) is assigning that 169.254.240.215 number because it can not connect to your router receive a dynamic ip address.
What does your network icon look like? A red X or exclamation point?
Also do you see any exclamation points or question marks under network adapters, in device manager?

No red crosses or exclamation points anywhere

So the network icon in the lower right hand corner system tray looks normal?

I have two different connections on my PC, a wired connection, and wireless adapter. In the right hand corner, i am running on Wifi, but its very slow compared to what i was getting on wired. Could the two different connections be whats causing my issues?

Temporarily disable your wireless. What does your WIRED icon look like?

Disabling does not change anything, here is a picture of my network connections screen and the wired icon http://imgur.com/a/TlbHJ

But like i stated, turning wireless off does not change anything, so the picture is valid

Yep
