Ethernet Not Connecting

Hello,

I am a person who has just built their computer and installed windows 7. The setup went okay, but a problem I've been having is that the ethernet cable I plugged in isn't showing up in the available connections, thus I cannot connect to the internet. Here is some information that I have collected on this:

Under device manager, there is nothing that says Network Adapter.

The ethernet cables I've been using are just fine, I have tested them on the laptop I'm writing this on now.

The LEDs are blinking orange and green on both the PC and the modem.

If I could get some help with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

You probably need to install the relevant drivers. If a cd came with the mother board then put it into the pc otherwise have a look at the motherboard manual and see if theres a link to a website with the drivers available to download.
