Ethernet not working on my PC

So I was on YouTube earlier today when the internet on my computer stopped working. All of the lights were on in the front of the modem and the router was good too, it was really odd.

I tried to put a different ethernet cable in my computer thinking the cord went bad, but that didn't help. I plugged both ethernet cables into my laptop and connected it to the router, and they both work.

I don't know what the heck is wrong. I also tried to update my network card, and there's no updates for it.

What's wrong?

when you put in the ethernet cable into the plug on your computer, does the two lights light up near the jack?
should be green and orange or at least both green.
edit: if lights don't light up go into bios and make sure onboard lan is on/powered on. if after restart from bios still network down, then your mobo nic is dead. go buy a 20 dollar nic card or a new mobo, personally if that is the case then I would buy a new nic card rather on a new mobo.

I fixed it

It turns out that Malwarebytes was for some reason restricting my internet from working. I restarted Malwarebytes and my internet started working again.
