My ethernet on my pc only works at 10mbps and when I choose 100 or 1000mbps it says that my ethernet cable is unplugged. I tried updating my drivers multiple times, resetting and factory reseting my router, unplugging and plugging back in my cables, doesn't work :(

Maybe you guys have any suggestions?

My ethernet adapter: Realtek PCIe GBE
My Motherboard: asus M5A97
My router: adb broadband

Help me!

You need a cat5e cable with all 8 wires. I have seen some cables included with routers that don't have all 8 wires connected to the RJ45. Also look at the ethernet port on the motherboard and the router. There should be 8 parallel wires sticking down all parallel and all uniform height.

I tried the cable on my laptop and its the same situation. So now I know that its my pc's fault. So it could be my router or the cable. I'll try a new cable later
