[SOLVED] ethernet port stops blinking

Pc was not connecting to internet and I have checked and found that its showing no valid ip configuration. I have done a network reset ,after that light on the ethernet port stops blinking.it now shows ethernet cable unpugged and i did try couple of other ethernet cable to make sure its not broken.i have reinstalled the driver also .still no hope . Is my computer ethernet port dead.please help

Plug another computer onto the end of the same cable. This will tell you if it is a problem with your router, or just with that PC.
