My Ethernet port on my laptop does not show any lights when cable is plugged in and says "Not Connected", but works fine with the Wi-Fi. Please help, what could be the problem?

did you check the ehternet cable to another working pc or laptop?
It is possible the port failed.

Is the speed and duplex of the ethernet adapter set to AUTO on your PC ?
