Hi,

I asked in previous thread about some motherboard suggestions, and I got to narrow my choices with B550 series to ROG Strix F-Gaming Wifi or E-Gaming or MSI B550 Tomahawk or MSI Carbon wifi.

Asus E-gaming has basically the properties/connections I want but i've read about so many ethernet problems with asus B550 lineup that I would like to know how bad the situation is ?

Here are just a few posts I've seen and there are many more, so because of this im leaning more towards MSI carbon/tomahawk.

If the entire Asus range is knocked by the issue with the Ethernet, you can look at brands like ASRock, Gigabyte and Biostar, if MSI is something you'd like to stay away from. Often times, the lower tier B550 chipset boards will not have the 2.5 NIC.

Actually im between MSI and ASUS only brands that I've used over the years. It's just that MSI Carbon gaming wifi seems like a alternative to the E-Gaming version, but people say it has has poor VRM compared to B550 Tomahawk, and I thought they are the exact same board except carbon just has wifi more usb/pci slots.
Only thing I don't like about MSI compare to the E-gaming is the audiochip and bios/softwares MSI uses.
