[SOLVED] Ethernet Slower Than Wifi only on One computer

Hey guys, so the internet on my laptop even though connected with a cable only gets 1/2mbps when downloading a game and 8mbps when I do the speed test, while my wireless ipad gets almost 200mbps when doing the speed test. Any ideas what I can do? I know it's not the cable because it used to work fast, and I recently reset my laptop completely. I have an MSI gp62 7rd leopard with standard specs except for the ram which I just upgraded to 32gb.

Sounds like you never installed the laptops drivers and are running on basic drivers.
first chipset drivers, then GPU, followed by network, usb, sata, audio, camera... if you have them
