ethernet 'switch' and router.

Here is my question. I think this will work, but can i put an ethernet 'switch', like the TRENDnet TE100-S5 Unmanaged 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch, at the end of a LAN line that comes out of my wireless router ? I have a LAN line from the router going to the tv room, and I would like to plug all 3 devices in the tv room ( receiver, tv and dvd player) into a wired system instead of wireless. This switch would just split the one LAN line, correct? Would it mess with the router in the computer room? Thank you!

that should work just fine.

A switch just extends the physical network, the Ethernet network. It does no routing or in any way messes with the network, just physically extends it. As Emerald said, your plan will work fine.
