Ethernet Switch causing internet drop-outs?

I have a tp-link 8 port ethernet switch connected to my main home router and im having big problems whenever its on. It is self-configuring and there is no UI for the switch itself. Im actually experiencing large internet drop-outs very often (every 30s or so, lasting for 5s) and it is practically unusable. I have a virginmedia connection and the superhub3 router from virgin and across all devices, whether it being wifi or ethernet directly to the router, they all experiance these drop-outs. Without the switch connected the whole network works fine, its just whenever the switch is on and i need to keep it running 24/7 since it connects 3 antminers.
I was possibly thinking that the switch somehow configures my router to some odd settings but i really need help getting it to work. Getting a replacement switch is my last case scenario.

Just cannot see the switch "messing up some setting" on the router.

There are still some remaining diagnostic options:

Have you tried disconnecting other network devices (e.g., the antminers) one at a time to see if the dropouts stop? May be some other network device - watch out for duplicate IPs.... Or some device trying to "phone home" and grabbing the bandwidth.

And try the reverse: disconnect all devices, watch for dropouts and, if none) add network devices back one by one. If the dropouts begin again it would be either the most recently added device or some threshold level has been reached and performance suffers. That threshold may not occur on other networks. Too many variables.

Unmanaged switch - correct?

New - old - age? Good ventilation and airflows around it?

Focus on eliminating possibilities:

Have you swapped out the Ethernet cables with known working cables? Ensure that there are no cable problems.

Try another test:

Start with just one switch port being used. Hop from port to port to see if the dropouts begin or stop with any given port.

What about the power supply and/or outlet to the switch?

Run a temporary extension cord from another outlet.
 
I have tried many things to do with the switch. Im thinking that the switch is possibly messing up some setting on my router or restricting connections and my pc is connected directly to the router. The switch also works totally fine on other networks away from home and yes, it is an unmanaged switch

Have you done any investigating or testing with respect to the switches' power source? E.g., wall outlet, UPS, Surge Protector, Power strip, etc...

Have you tried running tracert and pathping via the command prompt to determine the where the dropouts may be occurring?

Test methodically. Plan out the testing and go step by step. Keep notes. Monitor as many quantifiable values as you can.
