[SOLVED] Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapters?

Our modem routers Wi-Fi doesn’t reach to my room, but I have a working Ethernet port in my room. I was wondering if there are any small Wi-Fi thingies that take ethernet input and have a Wi-Fi output.

What you want is called a AP but in many cases you can get a router cheaper. Although many routers have a special feature on them called AP you can use any router as a AP by using a lan port rather than the wan port, disable dhcp. and set lan IP to a unused IP on your network.

agree usually a router in AP mode is the best bet, something like the Archer A6 for $45 but there is the Netgear WAC104 which is under $40 at the sale price... IMHO the A6 would be a little better with MU-MIMO, worth the extra few dollars...

There are LOTS of used Asus RT-N56U and RT-N-65U routers on E-Bay for around $20. They make excellent access points.
