I am planning on running CAT5 ethernet cable from my wireless modem in the house, to mancave in the barn, is it possible , then to add something to have wireless in the barn?
You cable run should be no more than 100m (300ft). Make sure the cable is well protected from the elements, you might want to look for special outdoor-grade cable.
For the barn - get an Access Point (or configure second router in AP mode).

So if I add an "access point" to the cable in the barn, the WiFi from the house will work?
Any suggestions on inexpensive access points that are easy to install?
This one is pretty easy to setup as Access Point, and can be found for $30 or less when on sale.
There are also dedicated Access Point devices, but I have no experience with them.
A small technical note: With an Access point, you will not "extend" your WiFi, but you will create another hotspot.
