Question Ethernet Unidentifed Network / no access

I have this new job working remotely at home, however, my computer needs to be connected to the router via ethernet cable. My computer didn't have an ethernet port, so i bought an Insignia USB to Ethernet adapter and plugged one end to the adapter and the other end to the box. There are green lights on each end but when i go and choose the ethernet connection it tells me that unidentified network / no internet access. I ran IPCONFIG to see and this is what it tells me:

When i run troubleshoot it tells me to plug the cable into the "ethernet" in which I did and i purchased 2 new cables and it is telling me the same thing. Please help me figure this out!

What computer do you have? The only ones I know of that don't have ethernet ports are some laptops.

What your ipconfig looks like to me is that the WIFI is taking priority over the ethernet. But that could be a misinterpretation.

Since this is a laptop, have you carried it to the router and plugged directly into the router with a short ethernet cable?

Yes. on the router and on the adapter that the ethernet cable is plugged into

Have you verified thst the sdapter shows up in device manager?
Have you tried the USB adapter with the WIFI turned off?

Under network adapters Realtek USB GbE Family Controller shows up when I unplug and plug in the adapter. And yes, i turned off the wifi and it doesn't work.

Is it configured for DHCP in the IPv4 properties? It is failing DHCP based on the ipconfig /all you posted above. Is the speed set to auto?

That ipconfig for the USB adapter shows that DHCP is NOT enabled. You need to enable DHCP.

I have already went into the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties and clicked "obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS Server address automatically. Now when I run troubleshoot it says "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP Configuration

I don't know why your adapter is not getting an IP. Everything sounds correct.
Could your router have a "whitelist" of approved devices?
